Journeys in Rhythm: Music of Brazil, Argentina, and Armenia

Sacramento’s own Iren Guitar makes her concert debut in an evening of classical guitar that travels through Brazil, Argentina, and Armenia. A City of Sacramento Creative Growth Fellowship recipient, Iren is joined by guest artists in piano, voice, and dance for a program that puts fingerstyle guitar front and center. Featuring music of Cardoso, Villa-Lobos, Pernambuco, Bonfá, Morel, Merlin, and original Armenian compositions. A portion of proceeds benefits Alzheimer’s research.
